Today, I am sharing my full moon ritual with you, along with a step-by-step guide to help you craft your very own sacred ritual, one that is uniquely yours and aligned with your goals and biggest dreams!

Just like the moon moves through its phases, we too experience cycles of growth and release, expansion and contraction, highs and lows.
The moon beautifully reflects whatโs happening within us and offers the perfect mirror for our transformation.
Moon rituals are soul medicine. They offer a powerful way to pause, reconnect with your dreams, and realign with your truth.
The moon is the embodiment of divine feminine energy, linked to our emotions, instincts, intuition, and subconscious.
I have always felt a deep connection to the moon, and full moon rituals have become one of my most cherished spiritual practices.
Today, I am sharing my full moon ritual with you, a powerful, step-by-step guide to help you release what no longer serves you and align with your biggest, boldest intentions.

What you will need for your full moon ritual
Below is your full moon manifestation ritual checklist:
- An empty sheet of paper
- A pen
- A large metal bowl (make sure this has burning-friendly material)
- Candles
- Sage
- Incense sticks
- Essential oils
- Bubble bath ingredients
Tip: Check the lunar calendar to find out when the next full moon is taking place and mark the date in your diary.
StepโbyโStep Full Moon Ritual Guide for Release & Manifestation
Before we dive in, here is something important to remember: rituals are deeply personal.
The more you make your full moon ritual your own, the more powerful and transformative it becomes.
What I am sharing with you below is a sacred template, a ritual I have developed and refined over the years. Nothing is set in stone. Use it as inspiration, not instruction. Let it guide you, but feel free to tweak, skip, or replace anything that doesnโt feel aligned with your energy.
When it comes to developing a ritual, trust your intuition, follow what feels good and create a space that reflects your truth and your intentions.
And now, let the full moon magic begin!
1. Create your sacred space
Find a quiet, cosy corner in your home where you can feel completely at ease.
From there, start setting the mood: think soft fairy lights, warm floor lamps casting a soothing glow, flickering candles, the comforting scent of incense or sage curling through the air…anything that helps you relax and invite calm.
If you feel called, play some gentle music in the background. Something soulful or ambient that lifts your spirit and grounds you.
Music recommendation: My go-to for rituals is the Devi Prayer. Feel free to check it out and see if you like it too!
When you are ready, light your sage smudge stick. Begin by gently cleansing yourself with the smoke, then move through your space, smudging every corner.
Take a moment to breathe deeply and feel the energy around you soften and clear.
Let this be a quiet invitation for peace, clarity and presence to allow you to settle into your body as you prepare for your full moon ritual.

2. Grounding exercise
Take a moment to ground your energy.
Close your eyes and take a few slow, deep breaths through your nose. With each inhale, invite calm and clarity into your body. With every exhale, feel tension, stress, and distractions melt away.
Feel yourself settling into the present moment, fully here and ready to receive and play with the magic of the full moon.
If you prefer, you can also choose a grounding meditation from your favourite meditation app – one that helps you feel centred, calm, and connected to the earth beneath you.
Personal Tip: I LOVE working with essential oils, and before I start grounding, I always apply a few drops of lavender oil to my temples. Lavender is well-known for its calming and stress-relieving properties. Lavender oil always helps me relax and feel more centred.
3. Practice gratitude
Take a moment to reflect on how far you have come. Look back over the past month or even the past few months, and honour your journey: What have you learned? What challenges have helped you grow? What have you created or completed?
From there, do the gratitude exercise below:
Think of three things/events/people, etc., you are truly grateful for.
As you reflect, be intentional and precise with your answers: Why does this moment stand out as a blessing in your life?What/who exactly are you grateful for and why? How did this person or experience make you feel?
Use words that carry the energy of appreciation. Words like gift, blessing, support, abundance, love.
As you reflect, allow the feeling of gratitude to fill your heart and entire body. Let it anchor you in the present moment.
Beginning your full moon ritual from this space of heartfelt gratitude will help you relax, open up, and move through the rest of your full moon ritual with a clear and elevated mindset.
4. Connect with your dreams and desires
All right, my friends, now it is time to connect deeply with your essence, your dreams, and your desires.
This part of the ritual is all about getting honest with yourself. Let your journal become your mirror, a space where your truth can rise to the surface, free of judgment or limits.
Use the full moon journal prompts below to help you gain clarity around what you truly want to call into your life moving forward:

- What am I currently struggling with in my life?
- What dreams or desires have been lighting up my soul lately? How do they align with the life I want to create?
- If I were already living my dream life, what would it feel like? What daily habits or practices would I have in place?
- How does my current reality compare to the dream life I envision?
- What patterns or cycles do I notice that might be blocking my path to fulfilment?
- Who or what in my life genuinely supports my dreams, and how can I nurture those connections?
- What is my intuition whispering about the next step on my path?
- How do I want to feel in the life I am creating, and how can I embody that feeling now?
- What distractions or energy drains can I release to stay focused on what truly matters?
- How can I align my actions with my values to make sure my dreams are authentic to who I really am?
- What limiting beliefs or negative thought patterns am I still holding on to? Why?
- If I let go of [insert belief, fear, or habit], how would my life change? How would I feel? What would become possible?
- If I could ask the universe for one clear sign about my next step, what would I ask for?
As you work through these journal prompts, let honesty guide you. Write without censoring or overthinking. The more real you are with yourself, the more clarity you will get.
Clarity creates transformation, and the more you understand what you truly want and what is holding you back, the easier it becomes to shift, release, and rise into alignment with the life you are here to create.
Work with the journal prompts that resonate most with you. Let your heart lead you.
This process is about illuminating what has been hidden, releasing what no longer serves you, and stepping boldly toward the version of your life that feels deeply aligned with your soul.
Reminder: Your dreams and desires were given to you for a reason. You are meant to bring them to fruition.

5. Release and let go
Once you have completed your full moon journaling, the time has come to let go. Fully and intentionally!
Read out loud what you are ready to release and let go of. Whether this is a limiting belief, a fear, a toxic habit, or a story that no longer fits, speak it out loud with clarity and courage.
Be honest about why you no longer want to carry this with you. Ask yourself: How has this held me back? How has it shaped the way I show up in the world? Why is it time to release it now?
Then, close your eyes and visualise your life without it. See and feel what would shift if this block were gone – in your energy, your choices, your relationships, your dreams. How would life feel? What would change for you?
Let this new vision connect with your heart and settle into your body.
When you feel ready, fold the piece of paper where you have written what you are releasing, and burn it safely in a fireproof bowl or dish.
Safety comes first. Make sure to keep a bucket of water close by just in case.
6. Move the energy
After all that deep reflection, let’s move!
Let the energy you have stirred up flow through your body. Whether itโs a full moon-inspired yoga flow, a walk under the stars, or a run through nature, choose what feels good to your soul.
Movement is powerful medicine. It helps to release tension, clear out stagnant energy, and anchor your intentions into your physical body.

To complete your ritual, take a full moon bath as a symbolic and physical way to wash away what no longer serves you and make space for the new.

If your schedule doesnโt allow for a ritual on the exact day, doing your full moon ritual the next day (or even two days later) is totally fine and still highly effective.
The key is your intention, not the exact timing.
