How to personalize your new moon affirmations

When you personalize your new moon affirmations, write them in a way that resonates with you.

In addition to this:

  • use positive and empowering words
  • tailor your new moon affirmations specifically to your new moon intentions
  • write your new moon affirmations in the present tense as if they are happening already
  • add strong emotional words such as e.g. joy, gratitude, grace, excitement, etc.

Feel free to write a few versions for each of your new moon affirmations and then pick the one that resonates most with you.

Working with new moon affirmations

Start working with your new moon affirmations during the new moon phase and continue working with your new moon affirmations during the lunar phase.

Two things that are SUPER important when it comes to affirmations are consistency and aligning with the frequency of your desires, meaning you need to believe what you are affirming.

What you think you become. What you feel you attract. What you imagine you create.

Below are two suggestions on how you can work with your new moon affirmations:

Speak your new moon affirmations out loud

You can speak your new moon affirmations out loud in your bed every morning or every night before you go to bed. You can speak them out loud over your morning coffee, you can also speak them out loud in front of a mirror. Mirrorwork can be super powerful.

Set aside a specific time of the day for your affirmation practice. Stick to this time every day/every week.

Before you speak your affirmations, take a few deep grounding breaths in and out through the nose.

Focus on 2 – 3 new moon affirmations at a time.

Repeat your new moon affirmations with a confident voice and a positive outlook.

Feel the energy and connected emotions behind what you are saying. It is really important to feel what you are affirming.

Go over each of your new moon affirmations 3 – 5 times in a row.

Visualize your new moon affirmations

If you are into visualization, this one might feel more in alignment with you.

Again, set aside a specific time of the day for your new moon affirmation practice and stick to this time every day/every week.

Find a comfortable seat and take a few deep grounding breaths in and out through the nose.

Close your eyes and start to imagine yourself already embodying the qualities/experiences that you are affirming.

See yourself feeling confident, embracing love, new opportunities coming your way, etc. And as you visualize your new moon affirmations, feel the emotions associated with your new moon affirmation and allow these emotions to anchor in your heart.

The more you can dive into your visualization, and the more you can connect with the emotions behind your new moon affirmation, the more powerful this new moon affirmation will be.

There are many other ways how you can work with affirmations or new moon affirmations, however, these two are the ones I personally work with most of the time.

We are all different and I encourage you to find out what works best for you and what resonates most with you.

I for example made my new moon affirmations part of my morning routine and I repeat them out loud every morning after my meditation.

As with everything that you do for yourself, consistency is key.

We already established that affirmations reprogram the unconscious mind (our shadow voice), helping us to release any limiting belief systems that hold us back from living the best version of ourselves/creating the life that we desire.

Changing a belief system takes time and patience. But if you are committed, you can totally make this happen.

Find what works best for you. Trust your gut feeling along the process.

What matters most is that you keep showing up for yourself.
